Stanley was born in 1871 and died aged 60 in 1932 of a ruptured stomach ulcer.
Stanley’s parents were Major Henry Krone and Helen (nee Fishley).
Stanley’s brothers and sisters were Henry b 1860, Florence b 1861, Percy b 1864, Norman b 1866, Ethel b 1868, Beatrice b 1872, Blanch b 1875 and Francis b 1879.
Stanley married Isabel McKinnon in 1917 and their children were: Henry (known as Peter) 1918-1944, Richard Norman (known as Norman) 1920-1976 (Norman survived rheumatic fever as a child but it left him with a weak heart which prevented enlistment and caused his early death) Isabel b 1923, John 1924-1944 Donald (1926-1998) and Mary b 1929. Stanley was also known as Dick.

Link to an artefact made by the Woolwich Chemical Co circa 1932, the year that Stanley died and with whom he was employed at the time. It is a bottle for an anaesthetic (ethyl chloride) and is now kept by the Australian Society of Anaesthetists.
