These three photos are of Catherine and Mary on outings with Grandma Krone. She took us on many trips- a train trip to see the rhododendrons at Blackheath, pantomimes (Peter Pan and Ali Baba or Aladdin, and something with pirates), rooftop garden morning or afternoon teas/lunches, movies (Sound of Music and others), an Arts & Crafts evening exhibition at Mosman or somewhere nearby, and the trip to Queenbeyan to visit the war memorial and ballet performances by her friends in little studios near Central. I don’t remember exactly how old we were but say if I was 10 grannie would have been in her mid seventies.
